Update!!

Hey, i've been away for quite some time. A few changes have happened so just to update, I've started a new church (Hillsongs London), I'm going to University in March now and I joined my fitness pal. I'm still en-route to becoming a Nurse so all is well :D

My Birthday

Yesterday was my 18th, i didn't blog on the day because I was having to much fun. I got a couple pics but not many lool as I was having to much fun, but i'll steal the fb pics of my friends when they up load then. Also I got my phone, i didn't get the iPhone in the end but I have the Samsung Galaxy S II after a very upsetting morning loool.

Finally I've seen it

HARRY POTTER!! After all seven books and 6.5 movies I have finally seen part 2 of deathly hallows; and I LOVED IT. Although it is sad that it has come to the end of an era but it has been a great one. I didn't shed any tears watching the film but I shed many reading the book, that was one emotional roller-coaster, I felt like i was living the same experiences as them, every scene captured me and it was great. My sister found it quite weird when i would gasp in shock and squeak, the first time I saw when a stranger calls I was still reading deathly hallows but other than that great book.

I also went to the premiere but my friends and I had to watch it from a side road due to the new rule of wristbands to line up behind the barriers on the red carpet, I screamed like a girl when Ralph Fiennes turned up but can you blame me loool.

Finally TWO WEEKS til i'm EIGHTEEN and TWO WEEKS, FIVE DAYS til I get my exam results/ find out if I got into university/

I just bought a pair of wedges that I've had my eyes on for about 6 months or longer. They were reduced from £45 to £14 so I've done quite well for waiting as long as I have. I'm going to wear them to my sisters' graduation and possibly my birthday if i find an outfit to match. I've been looking for a pair of wedges for a long time and all the ones I love are too expensive and by the time a sale comes, my size is gone. This is not the last pair of wedges i'm getting though, I have my sights set on a pair from nine west,I could have bought them last month but decided against it.

A month til my 18th

I'm so excited, my birthday is officially a month away, I have the restaurant booked then I need to sort out my cake and then my outfit. I will legally be able to buy alcohol, DVDs in store (I buy DVDs R18 online), watch R18 movies in the cinema and get my tattoo. I'm still trying to convince mother to get me a triple chocolate cake as that taste like heaven :D. Also I can finally get my new phone after 4 or 5 years of waiting.

Harry Potter premiere

Not exactly deathly hallows, but still a great image

I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter but I have been a bad fan in not managing to attend previous premieres. I only live a bus ride away from central so I really have no excuse. Our day was supposed to start early but sadly I overslept; due to my lack of sleep from travelling up to Sheffield the previous day. So in total our journey started an hour later and I was so excited as it was my 1st Potter premiere and the last. BUT the stupid organisers decided to make it an wristband event only and barricaded the red carpet area off, then to top it off put covers on the barriers so we couldn't see a damn thing. We had to resort to standing across the street looking at the big screen with the fat horse blocking the left hand side.

Never in my life would I go gaga over celebs but as soon as Ralph Fiennes appeared on screen I was screaming like a little girl lool. Also when Daniel Radcliffe came and Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and J.K. Rowling. Even the goblin from the bank was there he was so bloody cute with his family. My entire aim was to get a poster but sadly I didn't manage to due to EVIL PEOPLE and rude staff. I even went up to the cinema to steal one and ended up taking a pic with a woman's one. That made my day but overall it was a great event and it's sad its the end of an era, never will they all get together and be in the same film. Unless the rumours about a new series of Potter books based on his children are true.

I'm absolutely knackered due to a busy week, so it may take me a while to update due to me catching up on sleep.  (pictures to come)

Ill

I feel so ill, my sinuses are acting up and i have a blocked nose and I ache everywhere, I dunno if its because I did weight lifting in the gym or just because i'm ill but i'm not loving it, i can tell you that. To make matters worse yesterday was hot and I was wearing a hoody so i'm confused as to why i'm suddenly ill and then it got worse overnight due to the draft. :( This is not my day.

Supernatural convention

How hot are they!! :D

OMGsh i'm going to a Supernatural convention in October. I'm going to make sure this happens as I love Supernatural and have been watching it since it first came to the UK; although there was a period where I couldn't watch it due to TV issues (that's another story) which stopped me from watching all my favourite shows including Smallville and Gossip Girl and others. But i'm excited as I get to meet Jenson and Jared if they show up which I hope they do or I will be crushed. So far the guests are Misha Collins, Mitch Pileggi, Rob Benedict and Amy Gumenick aka Castiel, Samuel, Chuck and Mary. Roll On October :D

Cycling

I have absolutely fallen in love with cycling, It's so carefree and free travel. September is when my oyster ends (free travel if you're not sure what I meant) and my free travel is over. Also by getting a new bike I can cycle around Sheffield when I move up for university. There's about 13 weeks left and by then I need my new bike as well as all my junk for living in student accommodation. I want a classic bicycle possibly a Pashley or even a Dutchie but I have no idea how I would transport it from home to university; so i'm going to get a folding ladies shopper bike. It comes with a 'basket' which is really a bag so i'll replace that and when I complete uni I shall get my Pashley classic bike and fulfill my dream of cruising through town with my dog. LOOL... but i'm serious.

Also riding is another addition to healthy living but I'm still going to get my driver's licence as my dream car is a Toyota Yaris but that may change in a couple of years.

Gym membership

Couple weeks back I finally signed up to a gym, since my summer holidays needs to be filled with something until I find a job. Its £12pm which is fairly priced as it only includes gym equipment, no pools, or saunas which adds to the cost. I have a workout partner and we ride up there and back but our first journey their was quite painful. The ride was fun and breezy but as I'm using my old bike at the moment and the seat was a pain in my butt. I have invested in a bike cover to soften the blow when we ride up for our induction and hopefully I can start my new lifestyle trouble free.

I'm free

Finally i've finished my exams and it's all about finding a job, getting fit and revising for my theory test. I want to pass my driving test but I need my theory completed and to have actually started lessons; but other than that its all about SLEEP SLEEP and more SLEEP. I have not slept properly since my exams started so now it's time to catch up and I've been job hunting but it's hard as quite a lot of places have age restrictions/ request experience which you might not have. That's one aspect of job hunting I hate, the lack of training a possible candidate is void as companies are to lazy to bother; WHICH leaves a huge chunk of us jobless. Two years I have been looking for a job and it has not gotten any easier. HMPH!!

Birthday countdown

My cake last year :D

It's my 18th in two months, I cannot wait. Finally i'll be legally an 'adult'. Also I can get my first tattoo, I've always wanted a black roses tattoo but because I would like to have a bouquet or some sort of design. I don't think i'm ready to decide on how my roses should be so I'll stick to something small until I decide on how I want my larger piece. I know i'm supposed to be on a hiatus but I just had to post this and I joined a gym, so hopefully I will get into shape and fit in my new skinny jeans.

Hiatus

I shall be on a hiatus until after my exams, June 21st is my last one so I shall be back after then. Now until June 15th I'll be revising as it's crucial I get my grades to go university. Thank you.

Tight Jeans

I'm so gutted, I bought a new pair of jeans for the first time in 2 years and they're small. I refuse to return them much to my sister's dismay but I'm not going to exchange to a bigger size and I lose weight and have large skinny jeans. I'm definately going to work my hardest to lose weight as I'm sick and tired of not being able to buy clothes that may not suit me because of my size. I'm not that huge, but It's time for change and hopefully I will lose 2 stone so i'm nice and slender AND can fit in my black skinnies.

Also in general I just want to be healthier and feel healthier. I tried detoxing last year which was going well but as I live at home its hard to keep up with a diet; whilst your family still cook foods you've written off and you don't have a job to keep up with your diet dishes. Although, from sept onwards if I get into my university, I shall be officially clean eating but as of now i'll just cut down my portions and eat less of my current foods and keep up with my water intake.

Apple

Is it wrong for me to fall in love with all things Apple. I'm online 'window' shopping for things I can't afford (iMac) at this current moment in time. I know Apple sell overpriced items but you can't help but fall in love, I still don't want an iPad though. What is it's purpose, someone should really explain it to me as I still have no idea except that it's great to play 'Fruit Ninja' on. I really should get to bed now; as 'window' shopping is not healthy at this current revision period in time.

I've finally finished playing about with my blog. I think this is it, my final layout design for now. It may change over time but i'm happy with the look as its simple and vibrant, just like me :D. I've also created a button so, to any people out there who 'follow' me there you go.

Pre-Course Day

Almost there now, I have a pre-course day coming up July 6th, to prepare myself for nursing and placements. I'm going to be getting health checks and all the other requirements to do with my course. Although I am a bit worried as I donated blood less than four months ago, hopefully this won't affect me, but i'll ask just to make sure. Other than that I have officially finished school and only have to turn up for exams.

Three Days

Three days and I finish 6th Form. Three days and I'm Three weeks closer to my exams. Three weeks five days and I cannot wait to be free but then it's all about finding a job. OH the troubles of job hunting. You apply, wait for a reply and 9 times out of 10 nothing. I despise the fact most places ask for experience yet you cannot gain any experience if you have never done that particular job. Training does not take that long and teaching co-workers how to use the till is nothing hard. All I want is a summer job so I can increase my funds for univerisity and feel a lot more secure.

Lion King

Whilst waiting for our tickets for the concert, music was playing in the background and all of a sudden Lion King came on. I love Lion King but this version was so great and unexpected that my friend an I spent the whole of last night searching for it.

Fun but tiring

WOW!! Had fun at RockCorps and received my ticket for the concert. I had to re paint a mural and then if my groups work gets loads of Facebook likes, we can all win Blackberry s. If i win i'll gladly take a BB but I would probably sell it or give it to my sister, and to top it off it was a hot day and the sun was shining, luckily it weren't scorching.

I also met up with a friend and went for a bike ride with my embarrassing crappy bike. I cannot wait until i get a new one but my thighs are on FIRE!! They ache and I don't think we were riding for so long but i'm in pain and I can't wait until it stops. Another good thing is I finally got my new bag and a new pair of navy espadrilles with white dots. Love them.

Orange RockCorps

I'm volunteering for Orange RockCorps on Saturday at a playground. For those who don't know what it is, you join up and give four hours of your time to a RockCorps project in your area and in return you get a ticket to an exclusive gig from big name artists. As of now the line up is Primal Scream, Jessie J and Eliza Doolittle, I hope the other artists lined up are a nice selection too.

ROLL ON JULY 12TH!!

New Phone

I'm way overdue a new phone, I've had the Sony Ericsson W300i since November 09. There was a short while back where this phone failed on me and I had to go against my instincts and buy a temporary replacement. I think it's time for me to move up in the world of smartphones as I've been old far to long, and i'm sick of lugging my iPod, phone and no camera around. I need an all in one.


At the moment i'm thinking of getting the Samsung Galaxy S ii. Although, i'm swaying back to the thought of having an iPhone, this is mostly due to all the apps I can get on apple and all my music is already on iTunes. Both of these are great phones so who knows which one I shall choose.

End of School

YAY!! I have a B in my Media work, that means i'm still on track to getting my B or possibly an A (which I really want) and then i'm saved in Psychology and Sociology. I cannot wait to start university and be on my way to becoming a nurse then a midwife, I have a future to fight for. I'm so excited i'm finish school June 21st and i'm free, Oh how my summer shall be great, driving lessons, new laptop and new stuff for uni, what more could a girl ask for (I have a huge list but I'll stick to the main priorities).

Also it's THREE MONTHS til my 18th, how great. I'll be legal to drink, watch 18 movies, have contracts, buy a house/rent and i'm eating Chinese to celebrate. WOO HOO!! Another milestone I shall achieve.

Saw

Finally, after 7 months I have watched Saw 7, it weren't in 3D but thats what happens when your'e under aged by a couple of months and know one is willing to take you to watch it. I predicted the end before it happened but then I doubted my choice after a scene but wasn't overly shocked at the end, but overall good film. I really want to watch Fast and the Furious 5, Pirates of the Caribbean and a couple more films. Also I'm another step closer to University, YAY ME!! I just need to get my grades and I'm moving up North.

A fresh Start!!

This is a new beginning for me, a fresh start, a major change, a positive outlook on life. I don't want to post any negativity here, as I want to be able to sign in and smile, reading over things I have posted or intended to do. I cannot wait to start university, once I get in I will try to stick to my positive scope on life, hoping the outcomes are ones I will reap and sow. Right now, I have major negative vibes in mind and towards certain people but I shall just ignore them and hope they do not reoccur. As I hate confrontation that leads to arguments but if it's necessary I won't hold back. 

Anyway, Welcome to my blog Iconic Roses, I love roses, I intend to get black roses tattooed on me and finally 'Iconic Roses' was a spur of the moment thought, that i could not ignore and had to write down.
